Research
Throughout Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Dartmouth College, scientists and physicians work in partnership with volunteers from the community to develop new treatments at the cutting edge of medical practice.
A clinical trial is a research study in which people can participate. The purpose of a clinical trial is to study the effectiveness of a treatment, medication, experimental drug, or device.
Featured study
Dr. Richard Powell is the principal investigator for a national study looking at the use of a patient’s own stem cells in the treatment of advanced lower-limb peripheral artery disease.
