Our Perioperative Nurses provide surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing the nursing care patients receive before, during and after surgery. These activities include patient assessment, creating and maintaining a sterile and safe surgical environment, pre- and post-operative patient education, monitoring the patient’s physical and emotional well-being, and integrating and coordinating patient care throughout the surgical care continuum.

    This position supports the nursing staff by helping to prepare and manage the environmental functions that support patient care.

  • CST School

    Welcome to our new program for students to become a Certified Surgical Tech. A CST works in conjunction with RNs to prepare the patient and the operating room for surgery. A CST ensures sterility of the equipment which they pass to the surgeon during the procedure.

  • CSR

    Central Sterile Reprocessing is the section in which all of the instruments are stored, sterilized, reprocessed for surgeries. CSR staff prepare the OR with case carts and instrument kits needed for surgery.

  • I&L

    Inventory and Logistics is where all of the disposable products necessary for surgery are stored. I&L staff manage and move product as needed.

  • Center for Surgical Innovation (CSI)

    Our Center for Surgical Innovation is our newest addition to Perioperative Services, allowing advanced technology into the Operating Rooms.
